I think Sims 4 is on Steam too, so you could look out for sales on EPs, or the game packs or stuff packs when there is a sale again. Instead, it’s a whole package of teen-related improvements that fit extremely well in the game. And as its name suggests, it isn’t just a traits pack. The Teen Lifestyle mod is one of the greatest extensions I’ve ever installed in Sims 4. ![]() I bought quite alot of the expansion packs for Sims 4, but they are quite expensive imo. I like Sims 4 for the cartoony look and I understand the UI better, but the interactions between Sims on Sims 3 is more entertaining. If you don’t mind ads you could go on the sims resource because they have both maxis match and alpha, but mostly alpha. I like Sims 4 for the gameplay and i've actually put more hours into the game.but I think that's mainly because I always had issues getting Sims 3 to run on my previous laptops and on my PC. However, Sims 3 requires better technical specs to run, compared with Sims 4. I got Sims 3 Pets, Generations and Supernatural for £4.50 each during a sale a couple of years ago. You can also get Sims 3 expansion packs for quite cheap during sales on Steam. Hmm, Sims 3 has less cartoony graphics than Sims 4 and the open-world and expansion packs add more to the game than Sims 4 does, but that's just my opinion. If you want to try both base games you could buy Sims 3 for 20 and a month of EA play for 5 to test out 4. The expansion packs from Sims 4 are much better about interacting with each other that in Sims 3. I'd start small and catch sales either way. Keep in mind that the price for everything on 3 is somewhere between 4-500 and for 4 its nearly 1000 (I forget the exact amount). Whether youre dead set on ghost hunting, or want to have a chat with some friendly spirits, youll need this stuff pack to get. There are far fewer "rabbit holes" in 4 than in 3 which I appreciate. Some people don't like the AI in 4 at all and think it feels hollow - I personally don't notice a big difference when I go back and play 3. I mod in story progression and I don't care about open world at all anymore (though the load screens were jarring when I first started playing).
